Anza is a very small town located in the state of California. With a population of 3,075 people and two associated neighborhoods, Anza is the 608th largest community in California.
Also of interest is that Anza has more people living here who work in computers and math than 95% of the places in the US.
Another notable thing is that Anza is a major vacation destination. Much of the town’s population is seasonal: many people own second homes and only live there part-time, during the vacation season. The effect on the local economy is that many of the businesses are dependent on tourist dollars, and may operate only during the high season. As the vacation season ends, Anza’s population drops significantly, such that year-round residents will notice that the city is a much quieter place to live.
Residents will find that the town is relatively quiet. This is because it is not over-populated, and it has fewer college students, renters, and young children - all of whom can be noisy at times. So, if you're looking for a relatively peaceful place to live, Anza is worth considering.
One downside of living in Anza, however, is that residents on average have to contend with a long commute, spending on average 31.32 minutes every day commuting to work.
As is often the case in a small town, Anza doesn't have a public transportation system that people use for their commute.
The education level of Anza citizens is a little higher than the average for US cities and towns: 22.87% of adults in Anza have at least a bachelor's degree.
The per capita income in Anza in 2022 was $35,672, which is lower middle income relative to California, and middle income relative to the rest of the US. This equates to an annual income of $142,688 for a family of four. However, Anza contains both very wealthy and poor people as well.
Anza is an extremely ethnically-diverse town. The people who call Anza home describe themselves as belonging to a variety of racial and ethnic groups. The greatest number of Anza residents report their race to be White, followed by Asian. Anza also has a sizeable Hispanic population (people of Hispanic origin can be of any race). People of Hispanic or Latino origin account for 33.60% of the town’s residents. Important ancestries of people in Anza include German, European, French, Irish, and English.
