Mount Joy is a somewhat small borough located in the state of Pennsylvania. With a population of 8,340 people and four associated neighborhoods, Mount Joy is the 144th largest community in Pennsylvania. Mount Joy has an unusually large stock of pre-World War II architecture, making it one of the older and more historic boroughs.Unlike some boroughs where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Mount Joy is neither predominantly one nor the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Mount Joy is a borough of professionals, sales and office workers, and transportation and shipping workers.
